On Aug. 17, BTS took to global fandom platform Weverse to briefly communicate with fans in a livestream. All seven members appeared to be at a beach in casual clothes with a sunset behind them. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook warmly greeted their fandom, ARMY, and gave some updates.
According to BTS, they are currently in Los Angeles for work. Leader RM said, “We’re doing well. We’re working hard to record our album.”
The group also explained that the beach outing was taking place on their day off and that they would get back to the studio soon.
The short livestream ended with Jungkook hinting that they might release some spoilers when things are more finalized and the seven-piece bidding farewell to viewers.
From December 2022 to June 2025, BTS put a pause on group activities as the members took turns completing their military service. After the final member, Suga, was discharged, BTS held an OT7 livestream in July 2025 and announced they have plans to both release new music and go on a world tour in 2026.
For now, it seems the group will be in L.A. for quite a while. They appear to be enjoying their time in California, and V has also been reported to be throwing a ceremonial first pitch at Dodger Stadium on Aug. 25.
