Netflix Korea's been on a hot streak with global hits ranging from "Squid Game" to viral reality franchises like "Single's Inferno" and "Physical 100". But there's one show quietly becoming a heavyweight in its own right, "Culinary Class Wars".
Back for Season 2, "Culinary Class Wars" is part reality competition and part cultural experiment, pitting 100 chefs against each other in a battle of skill, creativity, and resourcefulness. Divided into two class, 'black spoons' (well-established but less-known chefs) and 'white spoons' (famous chefs with local and international accolades like running Michelin star restaurants, it's K-food meets social commentary, served at full boil.

Ahn Sung Jae
Ahn Sung Jae is the owner of Mosu restaurant with locations in both Seoul and Hong Kong. Mosu Seoul is a 3-star Michelin restaurant.

Baek Jong Won
Baek Jong Won is known as one of the most commercially successful, famous chefs in Korea. 1. Kim Geon
Kim Geon is a chef and restaurant owner of several establishments including the one-star Michelin restaurant Goryori Ken. He specializes in Japanese cuisine.

2. Choi Kang Rok

Hou Deok Juk is a legendary Chinese cuisine chef who has been cooking for over 57 years. He is currently the head chef at the The Ambassador Seoul Pullman one-star Michelin restaurant Hobin.

4. Im Seong Keun
Im Seong Keun gained popularity through a number of cooking variety show appearances. He also owns the brand Hansik Daechan which specializes in selling banchan (반찬 - Korean side dishes).

Jung Ho Young is a famous first-generation chef in Korea who is well-known for his appearances on "Please Take Care of my Refrigerator"

6. Venerable Sun Jae
Venerable Sun Jae is a monk known for spreading the culture of Buddhist temple-style Korean food.

7. Cheon Sang Hyun
Cheon Sang Hyun is a former head chef at the Blue House (better known as Cheongwadae or 청와대 in Korean), who now specializes in Chinese cuisine.

8. Choi Yu Gang
Choi Yu Gang is the owner-chef of the Michelin restaurant Kojacha. The restaurant concept comes from blending Korean (Ko), Japanese (Ja), and Chinese (Cha from 차이나 (Cha-i-na) in Korean) to create fusion dishes. It is a 2023 Michelin restaurant.

9. Jennie Walldén
Jennie Walldén is a Korean-Swedish chef and describes herself as a food lover and sommelier. She is the founder and owner of FNB brands and boasts a big following on social media, too.

Hidden chef Kim Do Yun owns a number of restaurants including the 1-star Michelin restaurant Yun Seoul.

11. Kim Hee Eun

12. Kim Sung Woon
Kim Sung Woon is a chef based in Taean, Chungcheongnam, South Korea, who owns two restaurants. He's known for cooking with ingredients that his parents farmed directly.

13. Lee Geum Hee
Lee Geum Hee was the first 5-star hotel female lead chef in Korea. At the moment, she works at the Mayfield Seoul restaurant Bongraeheon.
