Overview
Muse Culture IO ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to delivering high-quality editorial and profile services. This Refund Policy outlines your rights and our obligations regarding cancellations, refunds, and disputes. This policy complies with the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (전자상거래 등에서의 소비자보호에 관한 법률) of the Republic of Korea, the EU Consumer Rights Directive, and applicable consumer protection laws in other jurisdictions.
1. Cancellation Before Fulfillment Begins
You may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase, provided that fulfillment of your order has not yet commenced.
Fulfillment is considered to have commenced when:
- Our editorial team has begun researching, writing, or building your profile or article, or
- You have received a confirmation that your order is actively in production
To request a cancellation before fulfillment begins, contact us at hello@museculture.io with your order details as soon as possible.
2. No Refund After Fulfillment Has Commenced
Once fulfillment has commenced, we are unable to offer a refund. This applies to all products including:
- Basic Profile ($19)
- Featured Profile ($49)
- Complete PR Package ($139)
- Claim & Verify ($9)
- Claim & Feature ($35)
- Claim & PR ($110)
- All add-ons (Interview, Extra Article, Extra Social Post)
This is because our services involve the creation of bespoke editorial content and profile work that cannot be recovered or resold once created.
Korean customers: Under Article 17(2) of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the right of 청약철회 (contract withdrawal) does not apply once the provision of a custom-made or bespoke service has commenced, provided the customer was clearly informed of this limitation prior to purchase. This notice serves as that disclosure.
3. One Free Revision
All profile listing and claiming packages include one free revision within 14 days of delivery. If the delivered work does not match the brief you submitted, we will revise it at no additional cost with 3-5 days of acknowledgement of your request.
Revision requests must be submitted to hello@museculture.io within 14 days of receiving your delivery confirmation email. Requests submitted after this period may be subject to additional charges.
4. Service Not Delivered
If we fail to deliver your order within the stated timeframe (3–10 business days for standard orders) and are unable to provide a revised delivery date acceptable to you, you are entitled to a full refund.
To request a refund under this clause, contact hello@museculture.io with your order number and the date of purchase.
5. Service Delivered but Does Not Match Description
If the delivered service materially differs from what was described at the time of purchase, you may request a refund or revision within:
- 3 months of delivery, or
- 30 days of becoming aware of the discrepancy
whichever is earlier. This is in accordance with Article 17(3) of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (Korea) and equivalent provisions in applicable international consumer protection law.
6. Chargebacks and Disputes
We encourage customers to contact us directly at hello@museculture.io before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute. We aim to resolve all disputes within 5 business days.
Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in suspension of your Muse Culture account and removal of your profile from the platform pending resolution.
7. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of approval. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
Korean customers who paid via card will receive refunds to the same card used at the time of purchase in accordance with applicable Korean financial regulations.
8. Rights of Korean Consumers (청약철회 안내)
Korean consumers have the right to withdraw from a purchase contract within 7 days of receiving written confirmation of the contract under Article 17(1) of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, except where:
- Fulfillment of the service has commenced with the consumer's prior consent and acknowledgment that the right of withdrawal will be extinguished upon commencement, or
- The service has been fully performed
By completing a purchase on Muse Culture IO, you acknowledge that fulfillment will commence promptly and consent to the limitation of your right of withdrawal upon commencement of fulfillment, as permitted under Article 17(2) of the above Act.
9. Rights of EU/EEA Consumers
EU and EEA consumers have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving any reason under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU). However, this right is forfeited once the performance of a digital service has begun with the consumer's explicit prior consent and acknowledgment that the right of withdrawal will be lost.
By completing your purchase and checking the acknowledgment box at checkout, you consent to immediate commencement of the service and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal will be extinguished upon commencement of fulfillment.
10. Rights of UK Consumers
UK consumers are protected under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. The same conditions as EU consumers apply above, subject to the same acknowledgment at checkout.
11. Enterprise and Custom Orders
Enterprise packages and custom orders negotiated outside of the standard pricing tiers are subject to the refund terms specified in the individual service agreement or invoice. In the absence of a written agreement, this general Refund Policy applies.
