Beat Interactive Debuts K-pop Boy Group That Will Bring A & "RAW AND RAD" NEWBEAT To K-pop

After teasing fans with two pre-release singles, 'JeLLo (Sleepers)' and 'HICCUPS,' the highly anticipated rookie K-pop group NEWBEAT has officially made their debut with their first full-length album, RAW AND RAD. In a bold move that sets them apart from many other K-pop idol groups, NEWBEAT has chosen to debut with a full-length album rather than a mini-album—an unconventional decision that underscores their commitment to showcasing versatility and musical depth from the very start.

"“Debuting with a full-length album was both exciting and nerve-wracking, but it really allowed us to show all sides of who we are as NEWBEAT. Every track on "RAW AND RAD" tells a different part of our story, and we hope listeners can feel our honesty and passion in every beat.” — Park Min Seok, member of NEWBEAT"

The album features 11 tracks, including a CD-only bonus track, and blends both previously released singles with new material. Each song reflects a different aspect of the group’s identity, with themes of youth, self-discovery, and resilience woven throughout.

The title track, 'Flip the Coin', encapsulates the album’s core message—challenging perspectives on what is considered "good" or "bad." The lyrics even reference Shakespeare’s Macbeth with the line: “Fair is foul, and foul is fair.” This philosophical take on chance and fate adds depth to the group's youthful energy and rebellious charm.

Another standout track, "F.L.Y (Fuing Lovely, Lonely Youth),” was produced by BTOB’s Lim Hyun Sik and explores the beauty and solitude of youth—a coming-of-age anthem that speaks to anyone navigating the highs and lows of growing up. Meanwhile, member Jeon Yeo Yeo Jeong takes center stage with his solo track "Wonder," a dreamy ballad that tells the story of a prom night romance in the U.S., where two people secretly in love remain unaware of each other's feelings.

"“Recording ‘Wonder’ was a really special experience for me. It’s a dreamy, emotional track that captures the feeling of unspoken love and youth. I hope listeners can imagine their own story as they hear it—and feel the same butterflies I felt while singing it.” — Jeon Yeo Yeo Jeong, member of NEWBEAT"

To celebrate their album release, NEWBEAT debuted on Mnet live at 8 PM KST, delivering an electrifying performance of 'Flip the Coin', 'JeLLo', 'HICCUPS', and 'F.L.Y'. The performance is now available on Mnet’s YouTube channel M2, allowing global fans to experience their dynamic stage presence.
