"Business Proposal" has been one of the most popular releases of 2022. It instantly had fans falling for its romantic storyline about an office romance that started off with a fake date.
Firstly, this drama was refreshing as it didn’t take itself too seriously. It was a good old romantic comedy with special effects emphasizing comedic moments.
The visual effects were a bit overboard sometimes but it added to the very cheesiness that makes this drama lovable.
The cast? Superb. Who doesn't love Ahn Hyo Seop? In fact, all of them had incredible chemistry be it romantic, friendship, or familial.
Each character was well-crafted and well cast. I especially loved the second lead couple who honestly ran the risk of being scene stealers.
I also appreciated how they allowed the older characters to have their own identity in the series instead of just being helpful to the storylines of the younger main cast.
If I had to give one critique, it would be that the storyline between Min Woo (played by Song Won Seok) and Ha Ri (played by Kim Se Jeong) could’ve been explored in more depth. However, I think it couldn’t be helped due to limited time.
The drama was only 12 episodes but definitely deserving of 16. It was a typical feel good watch and I’m looking forward to how the drama’s popularity boosts the careers of each cast member.
